The Sart Tilman campus
While they had long been scattered around the city, most departments have now settled on the Sart Tilman campus, a single venue only a few minutes away by car from the city centre (half an hour by bus or bicycle) in a wooded area on a nearby hill.
Most of the University buildings are located on the Sart Tilman Campus, about 10 km from the city centre. It covers some 1,820 acres, half of which are still woodland. Some parts are devoted to leisure activities: walking, cycling and riding, sports and barbecues. There is also an open-air museum with 80 works of art integrated into the landscape.
The scientific, didactic, hospital, sports and tourist infrastructures are located in clearly delimited zones – all in full harmony with the beautiful natural surroundings.

You can reach the Sart Tilman by bus with line 48 and with line 58, see map.
The downtown university buildings
The downtown university buildings host the Vice-chancellor's office and all administrative services, including services running students affairs and the curriculum, as well as the arts faculty (Philosophie et Lettres).
Some research and teaching units can still be found at the former Pharmacy Institute (rue Fusch), at the Institute of Astrophysics (in a district called Cointe), at the Zoology Institute (quai Van Beneden), and at the Institute of Anatomy (rue de Pitteurs).
In January 2005 HEC-Liège and the Departments for Management (Ecole d’Administration des Affaires) and Economics merged into a large management school officially called "HEC–Ecole de Gestion de l’Université de Liège". It has two venues, one downtown rue Louvrex and the other one at Sart Tilman.
