Opening a bank account

If you choose to open a bank account in Belgium you had better do so at once. Banks will require the following documents:

• a passport or identity card
• an address in Liège
• a certificate from the University (to testify that you are indeed a student with us, to be obtained from Marta Kucharska)

Most banks offer substantial advantages to people under 26 (cuts on some expenses).

You can also open an account with the post office.
