To sum up
Before arriving in Liège
- Discuss the courses you intend to take in Liège with your coordinator in your home university
- Get in touch with your ULg coordinator to check whether you can actually take those courses
- Send your application form to our Erasmus Office before 31 May; students applying for the second semester have to send it before 30 November.
- If you need a visa to enter Belgium, take the necessary steps with the Belgian embassy in your home country (with a letter of acceptance that you will send as soon as we receive your application form)
- If you need a room in a hall of residence (for 3 to 6 months), send a form to the accommodation office attached to your letter of acceptance
- If you wish to meet a local student who will guide you along, send the relevant form
- Ask your health insurance fund for an E128 form (for EU students)
- Subscribe to a supplementary "tous risques" insurance
When you arrive in Liège
- Get in touch with your ULg coordinator to check the schedule and timetable
- Get in touch with Marta Kucharska (Relations Internationales, place du 20-Août) to give her your address in Liège
- You will then receive your student card and password to access the Internet by surface mail
- Go to the town hall with the documents listed
- If you have questions on courses, please contact your department coordinator. For any other information, ask Maria Kucharska
When you take an examination

Remember to tell your teacher or to write on your exam paper that you are an exchange student; mention the name of your ULg department coordinator, who will transfer your marks to your home university.
Before getting back home
You should inform your co-ordinator that you are leaving; ask the Erasmus office for your “Attestation de départ”
