The seminars' framework is basically open. However, the following modus
operandi is suggested to the head
of each seminar : 30 minutes of challenging analysis on the chosen section
which will lead into an hour of discussion on the points raised by the
speaker. A paper as such is not expected, but a dynamic presentation
of the chosen text(s). With that regard, a two speed process might be
useful : first to contextualize the chosen text as a coherent (or problematic)
whole and as a mile-stone in Whitehead's development ; second to select
a few pages (or even paragraphs) for a more focused discussion. To do
so, the use of multimedia tools is encouraged.
The discussion will take place primarily among the « active participants »,
who have committed themselves to meditate on the debated texts before
the seminar. « Passive participants » will nevertheless not
be excluded from the exchange.
In order to have as many well-prepared active participants as possible,
the domain of each seminar is defined by three parameters :
—the topic, or debated question ;
—the targeted material : chapter(s) of Whitehead's work(s) ;
—the special focus for discussion : paragraph(s) that will be of special
concern.
Copies of the « special focus » material will be made available
on the 11th.

analytic philosophy namely that of critical rationalism. It further
