How to reach Liège ?

By trains: Belgium has a very well developed train network, all schedules and prices on http://www.b-rail.be/main/index.html.

By air: Different airports are located close to Liege.

- Brussels airport: http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/ From Brussel airport to Liege: trains to Brussels north or Leuven and then trains to Liege

- Brussels South Airport: http://www.charleroi-airport.com/doc.php?nd=o29&tid=29&lg=1&docid=1&site=1 From Charleroi Airport (Brussels South): Shuttles to Brussels and then train to Liege

- Liege Airport: http://www.liegeairport.com/ From Liege Airport: buses to Liege Guillemins but the easiest way is probably to take a taxi.

How to reach the "Maison de la métallurgie" (Meeting, 2-3 Decembre)?

By car: Motorways E40 - E25 - E42 ou E 313, direction "LIEGE-CENTRE". After the motorway exit take direction "Palais des Congrès", then "ARDENNES", exit "Fétinne", then turn twice left. The "Maison de la Métallurgie et de l'Industrie de Liège" is on the left, on the embankment after 60m. If you want to park, the car park of the « Musée des transport en commun» is accessible for us (see map here under).

- from the train station (or Boulevard d'Avroy): in front of Liege Guillemins station (or from Avroy Boulevard), take the bus n), direction LONGDOZ (d'Harscamp, Bavière). Ask for the bus stop "HOTEL DE POLICE" (rue Natalis). It's more or less 10 minutes by bus, then 5 minutes walking. Cross the main boulevard, (when you look at the police station, this boulevard on the right), then turn to the left on the Raymond Poincaré Boulevard (along the tyre shop). The "Maison de la Métallurgie et de l'Industrie de Liège" is on the left, on the embankment after 60m (see map hereunder).

- from the university: from the university, take the bus 48, direction OPERA and stop at the train station Guillemins (more or less 22 minutes). At the train station follow the itinerary "from the train station".

- from the city centre: Place de la République Française (see map hereunder) bus 35 direction ROBERMONT, or 33 direction BANLIEUE (Vaux, Romsée), or 29 direction JUPILLE. Ask for bus stop Grivegnée (rue de la limite) or ask for the Médiacité. About 10 minutes by bus plus 5 minutes walking (see map hereunder).

How to reach the Geological Building (Field trip, training, 4-6 Decembre)?

You should stop at the bus stop "PHYSIQUE" on the Bus line No 48, it is right in front of the geological building. Location of bus stops 48 in the city centre on the map below (there is also a bus stop 48 at the train station Liège Guillemins).
